About CourtSync Calendar

© 2025 CourtSync, LLC

CourtSync Calendar is a service provided by CourtSync, LLC that helps attorneys convert court scheduling orders (PDFs, including scanned documents) into calendar-ready events. The service extracts dates, hearings, and filing deadlines and can calculate relative deadlines (e.g., “90 days before trial”). You review extracted items before exporting a standard .ics file to your calendar system.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CourtSync Calendar, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy below (collectively, the “Terms”). If you are using the service on behalf of a law firm or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

License & Permitted Use

CourtSync, LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CourtSync Calendar for your professional practice in accordance with your subscription. Plans may limit the number of permitted users and/or logins. You agree not to reverse engineer, resell, or use the service in a way that violates law or these Terms.

No Legal Advice

CourtSync Calendar is a software tool, not a law firm. It does not provide legal advice or form an attorney-client relationship. You are solely responsible for your legal work product and for verifying all dates and deadlines before you rely on them.

Accuracy, Verification & AI Limitations

CourtSync Calendar attempts to extract and calculate deadlines using a combination of software, rules, and AI models. No warranty of accuracy is made. Errors can occur, including AI and parsing errors. You must independently verify all extracted items and calculations prior to use. Always follow your firm’s calendaring and verification procedures.

Content You Upload

You represent that you have the right to upload and process the documents you submit and that doing so does not violate any law, court order, or third-party rights. CourtSync Calendar is designed for public court documents; do not upload materials you are not authorized to disclose or process.

Third-Party Processors (AI & Payments)

CourtSync Calendar uses third-party processors to deliver the service, which may include AI providers (e.g., Google’s Gemini API) and payment processors (e.g., Stripe). Your data handled by those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party policies and disclaim responsibility for their acts or omissions.

Privacy & Data Handling

Document handling. We process uploaded documents only as needed to deliver the service. We do not retain your uploaded PDFs after processing is complete; files are deleted automatically following extraction. Limited, transient caching may occur to complete a request and ensure reliability.

What we collect. We may collect account and contact information, subscription and billing details (processed by our payment provider), basic usage logs, device/IP data for security, and limited diagnostic information to improve the service.

Confidentiality. We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded documents to train our own models. We may use usage metrics to improve performance and reliability.

Security. Uploads are encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS). While we take reasonable measures to protect data, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; you will retain access through the end of the current paid period. Pricing, features, and plan limits may change; changes will apply on your next renewal unless stated otherwise.

Refunds, if any, are governed by the plan terms displayed at purchase. Payment processing is handled by our third-party provider; CourtSync, LLC does not store full payment card details.

Prohibited Uses

You will not: (a) misuse or overload the service; (b) attempt to bypass security; (c) upload malware or unlawful content; (d) use the service to violate court rules or confidentiality obligations; or (e) copy or create derivative works from the service except as permitted by these Terms.

Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” COURTSYNC, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. COURTSYNC, LLC DOES NOT WARRANT ACCURACY OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. COURTSYNC, LLC DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COURTSYNC, LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. DIRECT DAMAGES, IF ANY, ARE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., by email or within the service). Your continued use after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law; Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of state and federal courts located in Maryland for any dispute arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms.
